  1. Heres how it goes PS3 has alot of compatibility and reaallllly nice graphics

    but at this point X-box 360 has PS3 beat

    think about it the sales 360 has Halo 3 is really putting things on the map  for it and ROCKBAND the downloadable content is just helping it out

    PS3 can really do better if it had some better price cuts, and the content and games 360 offers

    hope this helped!!!!

  2. Before I start explaining on which system you should get, I want to let you know that I have both systems. Its better to talk to a person who had experience with both systems…

    Here we go, based on my experience, I recommend you the PS3

    Why? Well here’s why…

    - Sony had 2 successful consoles that sold over 200 million combined, so they have the best experience with gaming consoles

    - To these people who say that Xbox 360 has better games, that’s no longer true… Since 2007 PS3 had  AAA titles that were released. Heavenly Sword, Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted, Metal Gear Solid 4, etc.

    - Xbox 360 was released in 2005, and its potential has been maxed out in 2006, a year later from launch, with Gears of War- here is what GeOW looks like (http://guides.gamepressure.com/gearsofwa... no games will look better than this game. This picture shows how maxed out xbox  360- (http://i27.tinypic.com/vgiepu.png) - note: Gears 1 came out in 2006 and Gears 2 is coming out November 2008 and yet both games look virtually identical

    - PS3 was released in 2006, and its potential is nowhere near its full potential. Look at Metal Gear Solid 4-

    (http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3174/2368... looks so much more realistic than GeOW right? This game surely pushed the PS3 potential higher but not completely meaning new games will look better than MGS4!!!

    - PS3 supports FULL 1080p resolution. Xbox 360 can’t display 1080p but it can upscale to 1080p but you can see a big difference between true 1080p(PS3) and upscaled 1080p(xbox 360) Also another thing, PS3 supports HDMI 1.3 which has richer colors and better quality while xbox 360 supports HDMI 1.2 which is outdated HDMI…

    - With PS3, you are not getting just a gaming console, you are also getting a Blu-Ray drive. Blu-ray is the next-gen DVD. Xbox had a HD-DVD drive add-on for $200 but now HD-DVD is dead because people chose Blu-Ray as their Hi-Def format.

    - PS3 games are produced on Blu-ray Disc. There are different capacities for Blu-ray- 25gb and 50gb. However they are coming out with 100gb discs and it will be fully compatible with PS3’s Blu-Ray drive. With the huge storage, developers can add more content, better graphics, and make a longer game. Xbox 360 uses DVD-9 which only holds 9gb. Developers are starting to complain that DVD is not big enough for games.

    - Both systems offer online game however you have to pay $50 to subscribe for Xbox Live while Playstation Network offers the same exact features for free. XBL uses P2P- here is how P2P works(http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/co... so if someone has a bad connection, then the whole game will be laggy.  Basically you are paying $50 for your own bandwidth.  PSN has dedicated servers(http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/co... so if one has a bad connection, it will not affect the game at all. Again PSN is free.

    - Xbox 360 has a reported 33% chance of breaking down… PS3 reported to have .01% chance of breaking down. This might have an impact on your decision…

    xbox 360 pricing to match ps3's features:

    $349/$449- console

    $50- XBL subscription(only for 1 YEAR) pay $50 every year

    $100- wi-fi adaptor

    $200- HD-DVD drive add-on

    $20- rechargeable battery kit

    all comes out to $720/$820- add $50 each year you subscribe for XBL

    ps3 features:

    $399/$499- console

    spiderman 3 blu-ray movie/MGS4

    online- free

    rechargeable battery- built in the controller

    wi-fi built in

    blu-ray player(better than HD-DVD) built in

    all comes out to $399/$499, oh my,look at that, its the same price as before

    If you look at this, every person who says xbox 360 is the way to go, they never have support for their answer like some other people do with PS3. That’s simply because there are no benefits to have a xbox 360

    I think this is enough for you to know but if you want to know then feel free to email me at yankeefan9874@yahoo.com for more reasons

    for more reasons

  3. get the ps3 it has built in wifi so you can play online and has better graphics.you can also save videos,pics,music just like a psp and you can play ps2 games on it and the xbox 360 always overheats and is too noisy and breaks all the time.and if you get the xbox 360 you have to pay to play online on the ps3 its free.im getting a ps3 for my b-day =D

  4. 360 is cheaper...theres more games. you can have an HD hook up to make the graphics better where ps3 is over priced less games better graphics

    go for 360

  5. That HD hook up is $200 extra.Plus the batteries fo the controller is extra too.

    The ps3 comes with everything  built in.

    It has a lot of new games shipping out.

    The online is free and it's very good.

    There are some sick  ps3 games like motorstorm and Resistance fall of man,Little Big Planet and a lot more.

  6. PS3. You dont need to get like a DVD remote and thing to plug into the system. PS3 has a lot better games than Xbox360. And i Herd that Xbox360's break alot.

    The games. Some games are made Just for Xbox360 and Some are made just for PS3. That and not all xbox games work on Xbox360. But i know PS2 games work on PS3.

  7. Well, I say the PS3, and here's why:

    -The graphics are way better in newer games.

    -The 360 has a high percentage rate for the red ring of death (I got it this morning).

    -The 360 charges for online play ($50 per year, $8 per month).

    -No built in wi-fi ($100 accessory)

    -It can only take an expensive hard drive.

    -Only has normal DVD player

    PS3:

    -Built in blu-ray player.

    -The game discs can hold much more data because they are blu-ray.

    -Built in wi-fi, and free internet.

    -Most bluetooth headsets work for the PS3.

    -Has hard drive that can be easily replaced and accept memory up to 500GB (However, only one hdd has 500gb). A common one is 320gb for about $100 while the 360's 120gb HDD is almost $190.

    -More reliability, but still not safe from malfunction.

    Those are the differences, but in terms of something better, the Xbox has better online play, in-game music (which is kinda dumb), better online navigation. However, the xbox lacks in a lot of features. Just with Live alone, you end up paying the same for a PS3 with a few good exclusives, but almost nothing in return. And if you need a wireless adapter, you need another $100, which sums up to $480 on the cheapest model. You can get a new PS3 for a similar price, and it comes with a $60 game.

  8. It basically comes down to the console that has the exclusive games that you want to play. If you like Gears Of War then the 360 would be the system. If you like Metal Gear Solid then the PS3 would be the better system.

  9. well i own both and the ps3 is better. also the 360 look better in normal tv but the ps3 looks better in hd tv.

  10. Ps3.

  11. ps3

  12. Movies:  PS3 has Blu-Ray player included.  360 has an optional (expensive) HD-DVD player add-on available.  HD is dead...PS3 wins.

    Exclusives:  PS3 has Metal Gear Solid.  360 has Gears of War and Halo 3.  360 wins.

    Graphics:  PS3 looks better.  PS3 wins.

    Gaming library:  PS3 has fewer games than the 360, but PS3 has better games.  Also, the PS3 is able to take advantage of the above mentioned Blu-Ray technology.  The Blu-Ray disc has more storage space...this allows for more expansive games.  PS3 wins.

    Online gaming:  PS3 is free.  360 isn't.  PS3 wins.

    Price:  360 is cheaper.  360 wins.

    Red Ring of Death:  PS3 doesn't have this issue.  PS3 wins.

    PS3--5

    360--2

    PS3 wins.

  13. It's going to largely depend on the games you really want to play.  For example, if you really want to play Metal Gear Solid 4, then nothing else really matters - you have to buy a PS3.

    If you want to watch blu-ray movies, and play an ocassional game, get the PS3.

    If you're just interested in games, get the 360.

    * More exclusives.

    * Better exclusives.

    * Multiplatform titles look just as good on the 360.

    * More diversity of games.

    * Better online service.

    * More players online.

    Sure, the 360's online service costs $50/year, but what's the point of a free online service when there's no one online to play with?

    This past E3 really underscored just how strong the 360 is this generation.  One of the Playstation's best known franchises, Final Fantasy, will now be released simultaneously on the PS3 and 360 outside of Japan.  As you may remember, Final Fantasy 7 catapulted Sony and the PS1 into the number one spot for gaming consoles, and the RPG domination continued with the PS2.

    The PS3...eeh, not so much.  In fact, the 360 has more exclusive RPGs than the PS3, with Blue Dragon, Mass Effect, and Lost Odyssey.  Now they've lost Final Fantasy 13 as an exclusive title outside of Japan.  This was one of the PS3's most anticipated titles, alongside MGS4 (which is now out), Little Big Planet (due late this year) and Gran Turismo 5 (due in 2010?)

    Sony further stumbled by moreorless rerunning the same games they ran last year, and even the year before that.  Yes, yes, we know about Little Big Planet - we've seen the demo movies for 2 years now.  We've seen GT5, which was originally a 2008, then 2009, and now is a 2010(?) release.  Home was supposed to come out last year, and is now a "hopefully late 2009" release.  Along with Home will be Sony's long talked about Achie- I mean - Trophy system.  Some games are getting patched to support Trophies now, but it's unclear when other games will get them, if ever.

    The only thing the PS3 has, and has ever had, going for it is its blu-ray player functionality.  To date, it's still the cheapest blu-ray player that is both HDMI 1.3a AND blu-ray 2.0 compliant.  In fact, no one's been buying standalone blu-ray players in any significant number because the PS3 does just as good (if not BETTER) a job playing movies as those other higher priced models.  And with its additional hardware and online capabilities, it's easily updated as new features become available - something the other players don't, or can't, do.
