I plan on using it to clean hard surfaces, no clothes. I need to clean my whole apartment soon (walls, bathroom, door k***s, wood...) after my dirty, filthy, disgusting extended family members move out (Party at my house when they do!!!) I'd prefer it if you included sources.

  1. I'd say use bleach on everything, the ammonia is to harsh...except the wood.  For your wood I would use Scott's liquid gold wood cleaner

  2. personally i use vinegar.  i know a lot of people might think that's weird but my best friend's mother is the director of rooms at a major hotel in los angeles and they use vinegar to clean and disinfect all hypoallergenic guest rooms.  its as strong as bleach without the risk of staining and is a natural disinfectant.  mix it with water and clean your windows and mirrors, you can also use it as a powerful stain remover for clothes and carpets.  most of the time you can just use one part vinegar with one part water.

    good luck!!

  3. bleach.  it is a sanitizer and ammonia is not.  experience comes from being in the food business and following board of health requirements

  4. Use the ammonia. It will clean the dirt and grime off. The bleach will sanitize but after you clean with the ammonia you won't need to sanitize. Be sure not to use them together(they form a deadly chlorine gas)

  5. There is ammonia in bleach.  Please do not mix any two solvents together that you will become sick and could end up with an explosion as well.  You may use bleach with laundry detergent.  You could also use what is called TSP.  You will find it any hardware store.
