Which is best LCD or Plasma tvs?

LCD's are brighter & show reflection less.  They are generally preferable in a room with lots of light coming in.  They do have trouble showing blacks on the screen.

Plasmas,  do blacks well, are more reflective & are generally better in dark rooms.  

Brand names are key in which perform better.  Sony makes a great LCD.  Pioneer makes the best Plasma.

on the gadget show they tested them, and reckon that over 32" screen it's plasma, smaller screens go for lcd.

I spent a few months looking at TVs in various stores under various conditions, researching relentlessly, etc. I had all the specs, I knew what was best on paper, I knew what was most expensive, yet I ended up not liking some TVs that theoretically should have been "the best"
