Which is best blu ray dvd film?

Question

I have just bought a 58inch panasonic screen

I now want to buy a blu ray dvd which will realy show off my screen LOL...i just basicaly want to test out the picture quality to the limits!! so any ideas which is best blu ray dvd i can buy??

I would suggest Pan's Labyrinth.....amazing visuals and a DTS HD Master 7.1 surround sound track. This movie will give you something to brag to your friends not only with picture but with sound as well.

I just bought a 60" inch plasma 3 days ago and came across your question because I was wondering the exact same thing. So far I have only watched 2 movies on it, 300 and MI3. 300 was excellent but the reason I rented MI3 was because while researching I found out that a couple proffesionals were using this movie while comparing the differences between different HDTV's and resolutions because of it's lighting, detail and special effects etc. I wish I could cite my source for you but after 10 mins of looking I still can't remember where I found it. Anyways they said MI3 was the best movie they'd seen so far for displaying the quality of HD and after seeing it on mine I certainly can't disagree.

fantastic 4 silver surfer or transformers both top movies and great surround in dolby digital 5.1 or dts.

300 and Mi3 (as said above) afre HD-DVD (at least now) so look carefully before you buy. I ahve a few bluray disk and the best movie i find that really shows off Picture and audio is Live Free or Die Hard (die hard 4). With non-stop action sequences and brilliant special effects, this movie can really show off.

There are two types of bluray movies. The ones that were not filmed in HD (there older) and were professionally up-converted using the original film, and movies that are newer and were shot is HD. If your picking a movie, pick one that came out fairly recently. Still, live free or die hard kills the other BDs i have.
