Which is best book or film?

I'm now on the third book of the sires of Angus's thongs and cosmic kissing. if i watch the film is it going to ruin the rest of the books for me? is the film good or a bit of a let down compaired to the book? any info you could give me would be great!

I know it may sound unorthodox but I always say, if there's a movie you're interested in but you also want to read the book, WATCH THE MOVIE FIRST. Books are always better than the movies they are made into. If you like the movie, chances are that you'll LOVE the book.
