Alright so im going to take a few years to think about what i want to do in life but for the meantime im going to take a career certificate/vocational school either for bookkeeping or dental assisting. So i want to move out to Los Angeles which should i choose to study? About how much do they make? and which career would i be more likely to find a job in? would it be more difficult to get a bookkeeping job ive often heard large companies hire 100 to 200 bookkeepers but ive also heard dental assisting careers are growning? which would be best?

  1. do u have a strong stomach, or great bookkeeping skills...both careers r good ones...

  2. Well, bookkeeping/accounting can be very tedious if you're an outgoing person. It can, however, lead to you becoming a CPA and maybe your own business.  With Dental Assisting, you MUST be a "people" person with a consistently pleasant personality and willing to provide service, patience, and care for the patients. Again, it could lead to becoming a Dental Hygienist and eventually a Dentist.    It's your choice!

  3. Dental assistants are not paid that well here in SoCal.

Bookkeeping is the way to go here in SoCal.  A friend of mine isn't even out of school yet, and she's already got like 3-4 job offers from accounting firms.
