Question:

Which is best for Israel ? destroying a few nuke facilities at the expense of spreading nuke tech blueprint ?

If I remember right, last year, Iran top mullah said, it would share nuke tech with every Muslim nation if time comes.

That is an unmistakable signal not to be taken lightly. Among many scenarios, Iran would get several dozens of suitcases, filled in with nuke tech blueprints, ready to be sent to Iranian embassy in every Muslim state, should the attack takes place.

I have no doubt that Israel is capable of a successful strike. but in a long run, and from an American point view, it just might create a multitude of nuke-capable nations later on, that is hard to monitor and control.

What you think ?

  1. firstly, i think if israel attacked iran, and hezbollah and hamas tried to attack back, then israel would simply kill three birds with one stone.

secondly, israel does nothing: terrorism grows, israel gets condemned for not stopping it when they had the chance by the UN.

israel attacks: terrorism is stopped, israel gets condemned for human rights violations by the UN.

    so its LOSE-LOSE

  2. Hezbollah and Hamas would tear a hole in Israel if they attacked Iran, in any scenario Israel needs the U.S. to do its dirty work.

  3. Iran is already a nuclear power, actually their nuclear program has been going on for centuries now. It was first started under the Shah's regime, with the help of the United States and other European countries. There is nothing that anyone can do to stop it (except to keep whining and crying about it, when we all know you have more than a 150 Nukes of your own, get rid of your's then we can talk.) And even if Israel is stupid enough to attack, do you think that one small set back is going to stop Iran from enrichment? Even if you somehow manage to  bomb all of the 270 facilities all over Iran (and the ones you don't know about), Iran will just build new ones (after sending a few missiles to Dimona of course.)  Summary: You can't bomb your way out of this one. Iran is a regional power, they have/will have nuclear weapons and there's nothing that you or anyone else can do about it.

"I have no doubt that Israel is capable of a successful strike", really? Israeli generals seem to have a lot of doubts, but as long as you don't I'm sure it's going to go well, Lol.

  4. I think this is out of context and poorly hidden hate messages.

Should the Iranians gain Nuc capability they would share what?  How to build your own Nuc power plant?  They wouldn't be sharing anything that could be used against them but cheaper non oil power yes.

Saudi has already told Bush that America has to build them a plant or Russia will.

The only real viable option to fossil fuel,  everyone wants one.

Sure Iran's extremist military leadership wants to actually make a bomb and may yet.  Doesn't matter Russia will give them one when they are ready to.

I think your average Iranian is thinking about supper and cheap enough electricity to run an AC.

  5. I think Iran is bluffing.  Iran wants nuclear power so it can be a powerhouse not just globally but amongst the Middle East.  They won't share that knowledge with anyone else it would be to their disadvantage.

I think that in long run we can't prevent people from learning.  It would go against laws of nature to think one could do that. We can't.

The best strategy is to keep nations stable that have nuclear capability currently, and to prevent unstable nations from acquiring  it.

We want democracy and friendliness towards western views to emanate out of Iraq.

What you said regarding Mullah needs to be emphasized.  Ahmadinijad long ago relinquished control of the nuclear program to Mullah.  If anyone is going to press the button (for sending nuclear missiles or detonating bomb) it would be a Mullah.  People are trying to read Ahmadinijad, while others trying to read the sentiment of the average Iranian people, but really they need to look at the religious moderation of the Immans there.

Very unstable.  Take out the nuclear facilities at opportune time is my opinion.

  6. "Which is best for Israel ?"

Leaving Iran alone. Israel can bomb places and people, but the knowledge will remain. What little damage Israel would inflict on the nuclear program would be repaired. Ahmadinejad will be voted out in 2009 unless the US and Israel keep stirring the pot. He also never gave any power over anything to the Mullahs, they already had it.
