  1. I bought Philips 5.1 an year Ago and my home is on Music now always.

    It cost is very less.

    try that out....

  2. Sony-MHC-GNZ888D

    Rs 15,990/-

This Hi-Fi Audio System (output: 5200 watts) with a double deck, 5 speakers with surround sound is capable of playing 3 CDs and is also CD/VCD/DVD/DivX/MP3/JPEG compatible. It comes with a remote control and has features like karaoke (2-mic) and CD recording.

  3. Yamaha or Onkyo. Don't buy the c**p ones that come with the speakers. JBL or Klipsh speakers. I have A Yamaha HTR-5940 6.1 receiver and JBL Speakers and it sounds great for under $1500.

  4. go for sony or sharp,

    BOSS is also good optn

i think 5.1 is more than suffcnt.

  5. I would try something like this.  This will be good for Movies and music, and will be right within your price range.

    Floor standing front speakers

    Center Channel

    Go with this sub.

You need an awesome receiver to power this, I would look at this Denon or a similar Onkyo.  It allows you to wirelessly network your sytem with your pc.

  6. Philips

  7. TBH if your going to spend that much this is not the place to ask, judging by the recommendations listed above you wont end up with much of a system if you buy any of that.

(5200 watt sony system? i nearly fell to the floor laughing when i saw that :p )
