Well i use spybot search and destroy and ad- aware along with AVG Free anti-virus and altogether they protect my computer really well and the best thing is they are all free to download

I prefer Superantispyware but still use Spybot S&D as a backup. I stopped using Adaware due to all the problems the most recent edition had when it was first rolled out.

I also use SpywareBlaster which is a free program and blocks most spyware before it installs.

That's a tough call  but i would say the best is superantispyware because it is a more well balanced program. It dose the same jobs as of all the others combined.

I have use super anti-spyware. Many features are disabled for the free version. So currently I am using spybot search and destroy.

I have Spybot and McAfee Anti-virus on my home PC.

Spybot have many features that make your system immune to spywares.  It can lock down windows registry and prevent virus and spywares from modifying it behind your back.  It can lock the hosts file and prevent spywares from hijacking your home page.

It also have tools to scan your system for rootkits.

On top of it, there is a registry cleaner that remove error registry entries. All the features are availiable for free.
