Which is better, Canon Powershot SD1000, or the Fujifilm Finepix Z20fd

my dad wants the Powershot but the fuji design looks really nice so which one is better

Fuji camera look really nice, but the quality is way much better on the canon cameras! I have the Canon Powershot SD1000, and it's really amazing! the pictures look like they were taken with a DSLR, and the functionality of the Canon cameras are really good, and fast to learn how to use! Fujifilm is not that bad, the quality of the pictures is fine, but Canon outdoes the quality compared to the Fujifilm!

The Canon PowerShot SD1000 is far superior to the Fujifilm Finepix Z20fs for the following reasons:

1.  It has a viewfinder versus the inability to use the LCD viewer of the Fuji due to the bright blinding overhead sunlight;

2.  The "vivid" setting on the Manual setting provides full color saturation not only for stills, but for the videos which when set to 30 fps at 320 format is vastly superior.
