Which is better, Madrid or Barcelona?

We're going to Spain, and we can't decide whether to stay in Barcelona or Madrid.

id say barcelona , they have a bit more quality, unlike madrid who just buy any decent player, they dont gell together as well

Both great cities IMO...never been there, but I would think that Barcelona is a little better because of the regional/cultural differances from royal, regal Madrid.
