Of the two, which one do you think would be better for playing the PS3 and watch movies on it? It would be in the bedroom. Thanks!

  1. Same here. Don't waist your money on regular CRT TV.  27 CRT TV would be big and heavy, too.

If 19 inch HDTV is only option, you just have to place it closer to you until you can replace it with bigger HDTV in the future.

Check if the 19 HDTV has HDMI or DVI connector. It would be a bonus.

  2. AS FAR AS PICTURE QUALITY,THE HDTV WILL HAVE THE SAME STANDARD PICTURE AS THE TUBE TV WITHOUT A HD BROADCAST SOURCE.YOU NEED THE HD SIGNAL TO GET THE HD,NOT THE HDTV TO GET HD ON REGULAR BROADCASTS.AS FAR AS THE BETTER BUY,THE 19"HAS A THREEFOLD ADAVANTAGE.BETTER GRAPHICS FOR THE GAMES,SMALLER SIZE FOR YOUR ROOM AND LESS HEAT AND WASTED ELECTRICITY FROM A BIG BULGING POWER GUZZLING PICTURE TUBE.AS FAR AS THE 2009 ANALOG THING,IF YOUR ON CABLE,FIBER OPTIC OR SATELLITE...NO PROBLEMS."HAPPY SHOPPING."

  3. an HDTV means that it will be in the higher quality than the standard TV. I'd rather have a better looking TV than an big pixelated TV.

  4. I agree, but the best bet is to go down to a TV store and look at both. Most stores usually have a common program running on multiple TV's. Pick a 25-30 inch standard TV and a 19-20 inch HD. Stand back about the distance you will view the bedroom TV, and see for yourself. Keep in mind that animated graphics are pretty awesome on HD.
