Which is better, cable tv or satellite?

Depends on what your television needs are.

Cable is good if you don't watch a lot of TV and are trying to keep costs down because packages start really low.

If you want to get a lot of HD channels, international programming, or better equipment go with either Dish Network or Directv.

Well cable is about the same price as satellite.  Cable works better but Satellite has more channels.

Digital cable is about the same as satellite except more expensive and better reception.

Cable; don't buy into the hype.

The technology is there for it to be good, but it's not profitable yet. Stick with cable.

I like my cable.  I had satelite.  It didn't do well in the rain.

You get more channels with satellite but you also have to get a converter for every TV set and every DVD/video recorder in your house. I haven't made the switch from cable because satellite as it is right now, isn't worth it for me.
