Question:

Which is better, freelance work or my own sites?

I have around 3 Years of experience in php development. Now I wish to move from the company and plan to work as a freelancer. I searched on the net but no response!

so I plan to start sites by myself.. I iwsh to know your opinions ? Presently getting around 20,000 rupees monthly.. Can I earn more than this within one month ?

  1. If all you can do is PHP then you're basically SOL.  You need to have design experience as well for the most part.  If you can design sites as well as build a backend for them then you are good to go.

    And don't expect to earn that much at first, you're going to take a serious drop in pay.  Once you get well involved, have clients who can recommend you, are able to market yourself, then perhaps you can go up in pay.

  3. Don't leave your job now. Because it is very difficult to earn as a freelancer. But do whatever you want while in job.
