Which is better, the Sidekick LX/Slide or the Blackberry Pearl?

I'm going to be a junior next week when I start school and most of my friends have the sidekick LX and Slide. My father just surprised me with a Blackberry Pearl, but my question is it better than sidekicks?

blackberry is moslty for liek adults but its still fun but the sidekick is more for liek youth and stuff
