FIOS is far superior, Verizon hires quality union people. They have pride in their work. They are not contractors or piece workers. With most of the companies you listed they pay their people by the job so most of them "hack and run" as to get to their next job.

Satellite depends on the weather, areal blocks such as trees, wires etc.

Cable is distributed via coaxial line and the signal is shared by your neighborhood and then brought to a hub where other neighborhoods are connected into and then another where several areas are then connected before it goes to the distribution signal.

FIOS is a glass fiber line from your home directly back to your local central office. You share your signal with nobody!
