It depends on what part, naturally!

Brooklyn Heights is much better than the South Bronx.

Riverdale is much better than Brownsville or East New York.

See where I'm going with this?  You're talking about two big boroughs with huge populations; it's impossible to generalize either one.  Each borough has great parts, and each borough has some of the worst in this city.

I grew up in Manhattan and Brooklyn but spent more time in Brooklyn,  so I would say Brooklyn, at least it used to be,  I don't know about now.  I never hanged in the Bronx, but visited as a small kid and I wouldn't know.  Oh I hear it's called LiL Kingston now  KOOL.
