  1. If you are looking at Intel processors, Dual Core is usually used to advertise the older Pentium dual-core processor design, so *Core2Duo*, which is the latest desktop and laptop processor design, is better.

  2. FIRST came, Core Duo which was the first dual core processor that intel released, was a 32-bit processor

SECOND was, Core 2 Duo Intel's second line of dual core processors, this one was 64-bit

THIRD was, Core 2 Extreme which was way better than the other two

then came the Quad Cores, hope this helps  ^_^

  3. dual core is a name of a processor (in a computer of course). and 'core 2 duo' is a name of model which in fact uses a dual core processor. like intel pentium, core 2 duo is another name for that particular model......

    have fun!!!!!!!! :)

  4. "Dual-core" is a type of processor. Core 2 Duo is a brand name of a dual-core processor. They are not perfectly synonymous: AMD makes multi-core processors as well.

As an analogy: which is better, a pickup truck, or a Ford F-150?
