  1. I like Elise a lot better. I really like it too!

Ever consider Elyse? That is how I would spell it if I named my daughter that.

    Hope I helped! :-)

  2. Elise.. even better if its spelt Elyse

  3. Elise is much prettier

  4. Elise

  5. It all depends on the middle name, but I like Elaine more. I would use Elise as a middle name more than a first name.

  6. elsie deffinatly, elaine sounds like an old lady

  7. For a first name, Elise. For a middle name, Elaine.

  8. Both are beautiful.

I personally like Elise better.  While Elaine is a lovely name from Arthurian legends, its popularity peaked in the 1940's, so it might strike some as an old-lady name.  (Most Elaines would now be in their mid-60's.)

While Elise is not common, it is more popular today than it was 70 years ago, so it has a slightly fresher feel.  It also feels a bit more European, which I love.  (It makes me think of Beethoven's "Fuer Elise.")

  9. Elise is prettier

    xx

  10. Elise...but it's my own daughter's middle name. I looooove this name.

  11. Elise.  Why don't you spell it Elyse

  12. I like Elise more.  Both are really pretty, but Elaine sounds a bit harsher and not as nice as Elise.  Elise, to me anyway, also seems more uncommon and cool lol.

  13. Elaine

  14. elaine:]

  15. Elise is gorgeous while Elaine is more like a  common persons name

  16. Elise is sooooo beautiful. It's more modern too. Elaine is just a bit old-fashioned for me.

  17. I think both are pretty, but I like Elaine better. It is a great name for adulthood and you could call her Lanie when she is younger. Personally, I like Elaina.

    Good luck!

  18. I prefer Elaine. Lain or Lainey is a cute nickname.

  19. Elaine is old fashioned, I like it more.
