Which is better? Evanescence or lacuna coil?

While both of these bands are often compared to one another, they are completely different but since you're only asking a personal opinion of which is better, I'd go 100% with Lacuna Coil. I love their songwriting, it's often deep and mysterious (especially their older material), they put on a phenomenal live performance, the mixture of Cristina's ethereal vocals and Andrea's pseudo-aggressive tones makes for a brilliant combination and they are also very connected with their fans (via live shows, letters, myspace). They are a great band!

Lacuna Coil is better in my opinion. I an going by music and not just voice, both women have great voices.

Why not add Within Temptation or Nightwish to the question? They have similar sounds in music.

Evanescence of coarse, but only their first album, when that one guy left who helped write and produce most of the songs, they started to suck, she's a singer but not much of a writer in my opinion, yet "call me when your sober" was cool. But their or should I say she...LOL is still better than Lancuna Coil
