  1. nascar..

  2. IMO F1, but in someone elses it could be NASCAR.

they are both different types of motor racing. Here in the UK NASCAR is shown at daft times so its not going to have a big following, but F1 is as it is shown on prime time TV.

  3. i prefer F1, you see a lot more skill and speed, But it can get a bit complicated if you dont understand the different strategies or any of the engineering of the cars.

  4. Both could be better on a computer

  5. F1 Seems more appealing because you get to travel around the world but that my opinion

  6. Matter of opinion.

Each has their own appeal, it's for the fans to decide.

    Me personally? F1.

  7. It all really depends on your likes.. For me, Nascar has no appeal because all you're doing is going around in circles and turning the same direction over and over again. F1 on the contrary, requires a lot more skill and it is a lot more involved than Nascar. But it really depends on personal preference.

  8. First, F1 and Nascar are not comparable! Second, comments like, "In Nascar they can rub against each other", & "F1 cars can't get winhin 100' or they get out of shape in bad air", are from someone who simply doesn't understand reality.  Cup cars "rub against each other" the whole race.  Nothing special.  If F1 cars "rub" there's $1,000,000 worth of scrap in the dirt.  How many times have you heard a cup car driver say, "he just got under me and took my air?"  They are far more sensitive to "bad air" than F1 cars that are the most aero efficient on the planet.  They are so aero efficient that next year by rule change they will lose 1/2 their aero package.  And finally, let these numbers speak for themselves:

    Cup: 3400 lbs. 5.7 liters 850 HP@9000= 4 lbs. per HP.

    F1:   1330 lbs. 2.4 liters 800 HP@19000*= 1.66 lbs per HP

*The 19000 RPM is limited by rule.

    Like I said... no comparison.

  9. Nascar.

  10. If you want overtakings in any moment: NASCAR! if you like to see technical things, and obliviously a driver from your nation, then it's better F1. "De gustibus..."

  11. Nascar.  F1, you get to see about 1 lead change all race.  In Nascar there is a pass going on each lap throughout the field.  Nascar they can get up and rub against eachother.  In F1 they can't get within 100 feet of eachother or else the car is going to get out of shape by getting in some "Bad" air.  F1 is cool to see all of the technology go to work, but that's all it is.  It's not racing, it's a strategy game.  In Nascar you get both racing and a little bit of strategy thrown in.

  12. Depends which you grew up with.

NASCAR has more entertainment value with crashes etc.  But are they really racing until the last few laps - I don't think so.  Since I don't relate to the NASCAR drivers, I don't find it interesting.

F1 involves more true racing but they have to switch the balance away from aero efficiency (what an idiot Max Mosley is to have pushed F1 that way) towards mechanical grip and get more passing.  Passing in F1 can be just crazy - remember Schumacher-Hakkinen dodging either side of some poor ba$tard with Hakkinen just getting Schumacher at the next corner.  No NASCAR pass compares.

  13. hmmmmm..I'd say as of now, F1. We have never seen racing like this in a long while. The drivers and constructors championships are in the air. Anyone can come back with so many races left. I must say i'm finally enjoying myself with the new teams and new faces. Everyone is hungry for the win!

  14. F1

  15. F1. Formula 1 takes ALOT more skill and strategie. Not that nascar doesn't but f1 is alot more.

But then again it depends what you mean by "Which is better"

as entertainment nascar would be more fun to watch...for all out racing? I would say f1...it's the pinnacle of road Racing.

  16. There's really no "better" series. It's the fan's personal opinion. That's the bottom line.
