  1. HP laptops are great, Vaios are stylish, they both are good.

But when it comes to processors, no compromise. The later, the better. Core 2 Duos are better than Pentiums, but I think Pentium D is a new one. I recommend AMDs, however. Buy one with Turion or Sempron. Athlons are not bad.

  2. I would recommend a Core 2 Duo, Hewlett Packard.

How much is your price range?

    $500-$700 =

Go to best buy, and get a normal Hewlett Packard laptop. It comes standard with usually an AMD Turion Processor but some can be found with Intel. All new HP's have 3GB RAM and 120GB-160GB hard-drive.

    $800-1000 =

Go to HP.com and get a customized TX2500 (Tablet PC) or a Special Edition laptop (any)

  3. The Core 2 Duo is the best laptop processor you can buy.
