  1. America clearly....BUT I would want to live in the US with all the same people I have met in my life.

If I was still in Secondary school, Ireland would win by a country mile, but socially America(New York) is amazing.

  2. I love both countries. My grandmother came here from Ireland for a better life , but Ireland has a booming economy now. I hope one day to have a house here and one in Ireland.

  3. The beer/ale is definitely better in Ireland!

  4. If you're asking this question in the Ireland section, then of course, We're all going to be biased and say Ireland!

I say Ireland because we're very friendly and I'm from Ireland!

    = )

  5. both have there flaws but i would rather live in ireland.

  6. I have been to America and I loved it so much, it's completely different to Ireland so I don't think you can compare the two. However, I am Irish so I am obliged to say that Ireland is better! feckin' class like!

    hehe!

    :)

  7. Ireland!!

    Why?

    Because;

    I'm here!

We have really good comedians! Dara O'Briain, Andrew Maxwell, PJ Gallagher, Graeme Norton etc.!!

We have excellent musicians! Thin Lizzy, U2, the Corrs etc.!

We are so happy, care free, easy going etc!

Compare to the Americans we are way less (can't think of the word!) about things! Like we talk about politicians as if they are our neighbours and say what we feel about them!

There are loads more reasons including food, scenery, etc.!!

  8. questions too vague to answer.

    better to live in? Ireland

    better society? Irish

    better government? america

    better people? american

    better wages? american

    better fun? america

    better politics? Ireland

    better food? america

    list goes on............

  9. IRELAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!! caus every american says they are Irish! They all want to be Irish! PS I am Irish and live in Dublin in Ireland! (sorry americans!)

  10. Ireland

People know how to enjoy themselves.  I noticed that in America, people are "shut in."  They stay home a lot and almost never socialise.  Also, in America they try to get as much work as they can from people for as little money as they can pay.  In Ireland, the work week is shorter, and the currency is stronger.  Older people in Ireland, and in Europe, look far happier than older people in America.  In America, people seem angry, worn out, and isolated.  Ireland has its problems as well, it is not perfect.  Nevertheless, I prefer to live in Ireland.  If not Ireland, than somewhere else in Europe......definetly not America.

  11. Ireland. We work to live not live to work.No one has the craic like the Irish.Everyone's a feckin' comedian, lol. We stick together when times are bad.Family values are very much still the most important thing to Irish people. We are still the most vibrant economy in Europe while things are definitely ropey in America. We are the most generous charitable nation per head of population on the planet. We're the good guys. :)

  12. Ireland because we didnt s***w up the land there

  13. Neither is better,  just different.

Ireland is only one tenth the size of Texas. But we say good things come in small packages.

  14. I don't know about which is 'better' .... this is all very subjective. I LIKE Ireland better than the US, and I happen to prefer Europe over the US also, but this is just me.

Saying one country is 'better' than another is ridiculous.
