  1. Plasma is better ,i think ,the quality are very okay

  2. well plasmas are built more for bigger tvs like 40inch+ but under that i guess its better to go for lcds, i suggest you get an aquos tv or sharp, i hear they have good quality and ps3 runs on good quality to with built in blue ray disc player. say if you want a 46" tv i would suggest you get plasma i really dont know the reason why but ive been told and so far i guess there right

  3. I don't know who told you that LCD TVs cost more than plasma but they are wrong.

If you are looking for a new TV, go with LCD.

LCD TVs burn less energy than plasma's do.  And, LCD's last longer as well.  Don't just take my word for it.  Read what Consumer's Report has to say about it.

Besides, you want to play video games on it as well.  Playing video games on a plasma TV will mess one up in a heart beat!  It's called "burn in".

I know, I use to sell TVs when I worked for Home Depot during the Christmas Season.

  4. New technology has made the benefit plasmas had over LCD's practically obsolete. Yes, three years ago the two were close competitors, but not anymore.

Check out the websites of any stores that sell tv's (Best Buy, Frys, Circuit City, Target, Walmart), I guarantee you will see more LCD's than plasmas. Plasma TVs, like HD DVDs, are going out of popularity ever since Sony (the top brand for HD TV's) stopped creating plasmas.

  5. I've heard plasmas are better...

  6. Plasmas are better than LCDs they have better black levels and color saturation along with better viewing angles. Plasmas use less energy because they don't have a back light that has to constantly be on. Only the pixels that need illuminated need power so power will fluctuate and in turn can dip lower than power consumption of an LCD.

Burn-in is something that used to happen when plasmas first came out. ALL new plasmas have orbitors that slightly move the pixels to avoid burn-in and many many people have not experienced burn-in.

Go with a plasma. If money is not an issue get a Pioneer kuro if too expensive a panasonic is also a great option. Go to a Home theater retailer near you and you WILL notice that plasmas have a much better picture than washed out LCDs.
