Which is better Puerto Rico or Dominican Republic?

I had a little argument with my friends about Puerto Rico and their Dominican Republic. Overall who is better at what. And Who is the best in everything.

It's always hard to say which country is "better."  I guess it depends on what you are looking for and what your likes are...

I personally prefer DR because it isn't as commercial at PR. PR seems like your in miami and everything is kind of pricey. There are nice places there though and the food is really good.

I'm part Dominican and I've been to both DR and PR. They are both beautiful country same in many ways and yet different in other. I fail to see where you are heading with this question. what is your purposed?

Puerto Rico has the same laws, currency and citizenship as US. Dominican Republic, you need to convert the dolar to dominican peso, just for been a tourist you'll be charged more for anything you buy, carry a passport, if you get in trouble good luck finding the US Embassy/ Consulate.

If you decide for PR, go to the west of the island, Cabo Rojo, Isabela, Aguadilla, Lajas, people are more friendly on the west of PR.

Puerto Rico is beautiful i was born in central puerto rico in cayey it has many mountains there its not like Puerti Rico on tv many people ride horses and live very unique lifstyles. And you dont have to have a passport
