  1. reusable container

  2. why not do both!

  3. the reusable container!!! of course

dont buy water bottles, and refill u'r container with faucet water

  4. carry a reusable container! this should be obvious!

  5. If you base your answer on what's better for you, I'd say the latter.

It will save you money to reuse containers, and you can them use the savings to buy other things you need or want.

  6. Carry a reusable container.  Not all plastics that you send in for recycling actually get recycled.  Many end up in landfills anyway because there is a very limited market for recycled plastic.

  7. carrying a reusable container.  each plastic (water) bottle takes energy and uses resources to manufacture, ship, sell, and recycle.

i have a brita water jug in my house where i filter our own tap water and use sports bottles.  tastes every bit as good and is every bit as safe as bottled water.  in addition to being more green, it is also more economical.

recycling is good, but resusing is always better in any case than recycling, and in my opinion, more environmental. bonus- it's cheaper too!

  8. Reusing is always better! It still takes quite a bit of energy to recycle (melt down all of the plastic at high heat, electricity for recycling plants, etc...), so if you can just reuse everything until it's unusable, that is the best way to go!

For example, aluminum foil is recyclable, but I wash it and reuse it even before I recycle it until it has holes or is ripped! Same with ziplock bags, wash and reuse! reuse plastic grocery bags, or better yet, buy canvas bags and bring them to the store! use tupperware instead of sandwich bags, wash and reuse!

    you know the saying:

    Reduce

    Reuse

    Recycle

do it in that order! Reduce the amount of things you use. then reuse them. then the last step is recycling them!

  9. The reusable container. There is so much damage done to produce a bottle of water, and you aren't always getting a cleaner water thay what you can get from the tap. Plus in the long run a reusable container will save you money.

  10. Carrying a re-usable clearly. Recycling still requires additional energy use and transportation that just isn't necessary with a re-usable bottle.

  11. Carry a reusable container cuz it takes energy and fossil fuels to produce plastic bottles and to recycle them. Plus reusable containers can come in different colors!! :-)

  12. It has been said that reusing the plastic bottles is very bad.  It starts to break down and you will be drinking that.  Always use a re-washable bottle.  It will be safer for you and better for the environment.

  13. Carry a reusable container. It saves the pollution created when that new bottle is made (even if it is made from recycled materials). Also, there are no plastic bottles made from 100% recycled plastic (I don't think).

  14. reuse a plastic bottle. In otherwords, um like buy one water bottle and just keep filling it up with water. Because that doesn't use so much plastic. And still when you are ready for a new bottle, recycle the old one.

  15. although recycling is wonderful, it still takes energy, water and transportation to do it, so any type of re-using is the best bet. try not to reuse a water bottle that had been purchased with some other beverage in it. these were made for one time use only, and can deteriorate with time, expelling nasty stuff in to your unsuspecting new beverage. they also can get a build up of bacteria (even if you try to wash them), so try to purchase a bottle that has no BPA in the plastic, or go greener with an aluminum re-useable container!

  16. Doing both is a good idea.

I prefer carrying a reusable container because the next person to use the plastic bottle might not recycle it.

And a reusable container lasts longer.

  17. Carrying a reusable container is better.

You should reuse what you can, but for those items that are not reusable, you should recycle them when you're finished with them.

  18. You should reuse a stainless steel bottle rather than plastic because as you reuse a plastic bottle it realeses chemicals into your water that cause cancer. You can buy them in most stores now that they have recalled most plastic sport bottles. Hope that helps.
