  1. I personal own a pair of Rossignol skis & they are as good as any I've skied on but K2 also has an excellent reputation. Your best skiers have used both brands. What I would suggest is find out how you rate your skiing ability & then buty your skis accordingly. Good skis like Rossignol & K2 have different quality of skis depending on your ability. Some are strictly for racing while others are just for beginners so you have decide whether you're a beginner, intermediate or expert. Another important factor is the length of your ski. A longer ski is much faster but if your more interested in taking a lot of turns & don't want the speed then you should choose a shorter ski. The length can be as important as the manufacturer. I know Rossignol has skis for any level skier & I'm sure K2 does too. They've both been around for yrs. & they know the equip. I've been an expert skier for over 35 yrs. so you can take my advice from experience. If you're thinking about buying new skis, one thing I would recommend is to rent different length skis & see if you like a short or long ski. After that, I would decide on the brand. Personally, if I was to buy new skis & these two were my only choices; I would buy the one on sale or the cheaper price since both skis rank with the best in the world. One final answer is yes, tyolia bindings are good. They've been around for a long time & they have some of the best bindings. Again, find your level of skiing since they also sell bindings for all levels. Also, remember that when you decide on bindings; you must have them adjusted for your level, i.e., if you're an expert skier then you'll want your bindings adjusted very tight so when you skiing fast, hitting moguls, making fast turns & hitting bumps; your bindings won't release unless there's severe pressure, like from a fall. Beginner skiers should have their bindings adjustly fairly loose since they can fall a lot & you want your bindings to release everytime you fall. I hope this helps. You've selected excellent brands of of skis & bindings.

  2. It really depends on what you are doing.  I use both brands and have several models of K2. I use a pair of Rossi for daily teaching of beginners because I got them cheap. I use one pair of K2 for teaching advanced classes and instructors because they perform the way I want them to when I want them to. I have another, stiffer pair of K2 for higher speed skiing.  The Rossi I use are a pair of Slaloms and are mounted with Rossi/Look bindings, heavy and not my preference. My teaching K2 have Marker bindings  are soft and easy to ski. My cruiser K2 are mounted with Tyrolia bindings that are secure and easy to use.

Tyrolia bindings have been improving over the past 10 years and are now as good as any on the market.  There is no "bad" binding in production at this time, some  have different characteristics, like snow under the boot. It is the same with a pair of skiis. Tune your skiis to suit yourself and enjoy.
