  1. i like rugby league. it is good to watch and also to play. it is much better than soccer and it is better than rugby union in my opinion because it is more exciting and entertaining.

  2. union and soccer.  league is too boring and they have poached many union players in the past.  aussie rules. what is that? basketball, soccer, or rugby? they can't amke up their minds

  3. Personally i enjoy Rugby LEAGUE the most. Its fast paced (besides the video referee decisions) has some of the most talented playes, that union keep poaching and stealing from us and have some of the biggest tackles seen consistently.

Union i dont mind but the mauls, while entertaining to watch are crazy.

Soccer i hate, it ends mostly in 0-0 draws, what comes out of that.

NFL i dont mind either but id rather have my good old aussie game.

And AFL, it sucks. Kicking, kicking, and kicking. Some p***y attempts at tackles and thats it.

  4. liove to play rugby and football is ok but i cannot watch football, such a boring sport to watch but ok to play, rugby rules!!!

oh and amerian football is c**p to watch and play,no offence but it is!!!

  5. Union and League I love gr8 plays, and awesome set up plays among other things.. AFL yeah not a fan only because I really dont understand the sport.... Gridiron ummm yeah not to sure about that sport either only what I see in the movies... Soccer loath very much... It's long and very boring to watch... I know it takes "skill" to play that sport but h**l it's boring.

  6. Yep, rugby man here as well and league as they are similar in skills. I enjoy watching the NFL only in highlights as the entire process from kick off to the end is so long and boring. When you cut out all the breaks and the swapping of defence and offence teams the game becomes entertaining as you only get to see the skill of the game rather than the BS. And I would rather watch movies about NFL...Remember the Titans etc.

I played Union, League and football but I loved Union the most due to the way the game sets platforms for attack in phase play and the tackles are unlimited until there is an infringement or handling error in general play. Plus the skill level and physicallity required to compete was an adrenalin rush.

The league forwards are shorter than the union guys and are built slightly different for their respective codes. Brad Thorne was the biggest man in the NRL before Mason came along but he is only average size in union. Mason stands out like a saw thumb but would not be anything special on a union paddock.

Soccer is a skills sport and is played like chess setting players around the field to take the ball into the scoring zone and AFL is very similar in that respect. I am a Swans fan only cause I spent 21 years living in Sydney. Hard sport to swallow when you see it for the first time but those guys are real athletes. They are as tall as basketball players, as strong and built as loose forwards and can punt balls like Dan Carter. Their skill set is incredible.

However, you can have players from Union and League swap codes as both can handle the physicality of both but it is as rare as rocking horse s..t to see an AFL player go to the other 2 codes. Former AFL players have been successful playing NFL but only as punters where they do nothing except kicking the ball and then they are off the field. Union and league players have been very successful in NFL as running backs. But yes UNION is a game played in heaven for gentlemanly mongrels and not for mongrels in a gentlemans sport.

  7. It is really down to individual preference. I prefer rugby and league. Don't mind the football either (c'mon the Black Cats)

  8. I suppose as a spectator that would be your own personal preference or which part of the world you're from. Personally I like to watch rugby, both union and league, because I'm from down-under, just like the USA like grit iron and the Victorians love Aussie rules.

As a player, well I suppose it's what you fancy yourself to be good at!

All in all, all these rugby/football games are very popular because of the huge number of fans.

  9. Soccer cause its way more fun and takes a lot more skill than any other type of football the only thing thats in any way as great as soccer is rugby cause its physically demanding but soccers still better

  10. rugby noquestions
