Which is better? Sony Cybershot DSC-T2 or DSC-T300?

If you're after a nice little point-and-shoot with all the basic functions, choose the T2.  And if you want some fun little features and a bigger screen, go for the T300.  

Personally, I buy cameras for function, not for cute features, so if I had to choose, I'd buy the T2, with a little less resolution and a lot less money.  

Actually, that's not completely true.  If I was buying a Sony Cybershot right now, I'd go after a different camera, the T200.  It looks a bit more like the T300, and not only does it have the T300's longer zoom and bigger screen, the T200 takes clearer pictures than the T300.  And the kicker is, you can buy it for the price of the T2, or less!  Sony doesn't sell it on their website anymore, but searching Google shopping or eBay gives you a ton of good online sellers, for both new or refurbished ones.  

But again, if I had to choose between the T2 and the T300,... I'd take the T2.
