  1. your posting this question in the honda section...what answer do you expect? ;)

honestly though, go with the civic. its pure s*x. and you get much more for your money.

  2. Both the Toyota Corolla and the Honda Civic are excellent vehicles; they seem rather equal in quality.

Both the Toyota Corolla and the Honda Civic are on Consumer Reports' list of the Best of the Best.

All 10 of CR's overall Reliability Verdicts (for model years 1998 to 2007) for the Corolla are in its highest category; 8 of CR's Reliability Verdicts for the Civic sedan are in its highest category and 2 are in its second-highest category and 9 of CR's Reliability Verdicts for the Civic coupe and hatchback are in its highest category and 1 is in its second-highest category. (Consumer Reports has five categories - much above average, above average, average, below average, and much below average.)

The Honda Civic sedan and coupe and hatchback are on AutoOnInfo.net's 2008 list of Automobiles with Best Engine Reliability, based on CR's Reliability Ratings in the Engine Major category for model years 1998 to 2001. The Corolla is not.

The Toyota Corolla is on AutoOnInfo.net's 2008 list of Automobiles with Best Transmission Reliability, based on CR's Reliability Ratings in the Transmission Major category for model years 1998 to 2001. The Civic sedan and coupe and hatchback are not.

The Honda Civic has a 5-year Reliability Percentrank of .95 and the Toyota Corolla has a Reliability Percentrank of .93. For reference, Toyota's overall 5-year Reliability Percentrank average is .89, Honda's, .84, Subaru's, .77, and General Motors, .31.

My personal experience is that Hondas are built to offer a bit better acceleration; however, the trade-off seems to be that their transmissions are not quite as durable as those of a Toyota.

  3. Honda Accord Beats both.

    #1 selling car ever.

BUT I personally like the Civic nicer design and the gas millage is about the same but i think hondas are forever and toyota is a 5-10 year car :D
