Question:

Which is better? Zapino or Bravo?

I have finally come to realize that I cannot afford a car. But I can afford a moped. At first, I dreaded getting one because I feel like I would look stupid on one. But I researched some pretty cool looking mopeds. Can anyone tell me which one they think would be better? It's a toss up between the ZAP Zapino (http://www.bravoelectricvehicles.com/electric-scooters.aspx). You know, like how good their batteries are, what kind of maintenance it needs and how often, durability etc. OR if you know of anywhere I could find reviews on both of them... Thank you!!

  1. Well I know that the Zapinos are good.  They're well made by a good company, and the most powerful moped of their class.

I haven't heard anything about the Bravos.  Another good company is Skeuter:

And a good website to get info on electric vehicles (including mopeds) is EV finder:

  2. I would get the Zapino.  Zap is a good mfgr. and the 30Ah batteries are big and would probably give you 30 mile range at 30 mph.  A cheaper alternative to consider is the eGo scooter at about $1300.  It is very fast... almost 25 mph for up to 25 miles with good acceleration and a little smaller and easier to handle.  You can test ride one at Electric Cyclery in Laguna Beach, CA.  If you want the option of getting some exercise then get a BionX bike from them.
