Which is better a butterfly knife or a switchblade?

A broken switchblade can fold up on your fingers, while a butterfly knife cannot fold up unless you release your grip on it's handles.

I say butterfly knife.

I would vote for butterfly because there is less that can go wrong and, in my state @ least, switchblades are illegal. However it dose take a little bit of skill to learn how to open it in a timely manor....took me about a week to get ok at it and about a month to get good...

Butter Fly and switch blade knives are both not very practical.  I would choose a fixed blade.

In this state the switchblade is fine but the butterfly will send you to prison. I prefer a good lock blade folder or a 6" fixed blade.

Get a benchmade folding knife with an axis lock. I don't care for either of the given choices.

both are quite intimidating but i vote for the butterfly knife because the spring in the switchblade can break
