Which is better and safer? An apartment with controlled access or private entry apartments?

I have a choice between both, but not sure which I will feel safer in. Right now I am on the second floor and feel pretty secure. Help me out. Thanks!

Depends on whether you're more worried about your co-tenants or other people in the neighborhood.  In general, though, if safety's an issue, I would go with the controlled access place.
