  1. Each box has its own pro's and con's

Myself iam driving my second Auto Nissan Skyline, after having so much fun with the first one ta second one was a good choice, also after driving a auto Supra,Imprezza and an 3000GT model i have come to realise that each box differs in each car and these sort of cars are not a sit back and wait experience and are def cars not wasted with an auto set up.

My cars alone have/had an overdrive system which is not the same as the ones for say towing these are for some RWD cars also a rev hold button which allows the revs to be held until you release so in fact you are holding the car in the car you want it in,also a power button which allows the box to change at redline.

All this and a pedal which when touched gives instant power to the car and your away and a fast speed with no sit back and wait time.

Also with other set ups like the new Nissan GTR auto and the new ssti

evo auto set ups and others like trip tronic etc all adds to auto's not being a sit back ride.and good fun,and allows me to rev the car into high revs where i would prob not risk in a manual also a gear change which is far faster than i could change gears with a stick.

  2. Manual s better..

Becuase your able to drie both Manual & Automatic

    But..

Learnt Automatic the oonly gear your able to drive is  automatics

    :)

  3. a manual will give you better gas mileage and control of what gear you want to be in.  You will not need to spend so much on maintenance as long as you don't shred the clutch.  As far as speed goes a manual will not give you any more power or speed.

  4. in heavy traffic: automatic....every other aspect: manual

  5. gotta go w/ manual!

  6. manual becomes cumbersome to drive after a while. It is more suited for pleasure driving, unless you really need to save on gas/ transmission costs.

  7. I like manuals better. Makes you feel like you are in a race car. But if you like to txt, talk, eat, or do other things while driving then don't get a manual. Also stop signs and street lights located on steep hills make driving on a manual more difficult.

  8. It's more or less personal preference.

Many people prefer manual because it's fun to drive, but if you drive in alot of congested traffic and stop/go traffic an automatic is probably a better bet.

  9. that depends. A manual is less complicated, so usually more reliable, and more efficient (better millage) and in a performance situation, will (assuming same gear ratio) have a higher top speed but the clutch is prone to wear out.  also it gives you more control over you car.

An auto can have a quicker launch with the right torque converter, but will use more gas, and have a lower top speed. there's more to go wrong with them, and they usually have less gears. Of course there easier to drive.

  10. I have manual simply because automatics make me idle, but the autos are a lot easier to drive, my next will be an auto, if I can find one that suits me.

  11. It depends on the car.

Manual is sporty and fun. It gives you more control.

    Unless you're driving a Cadillac. :D

  12. I love driving a stick.

  13. I will choose manual anytime. Saves you more gas and also gives you more control of your engine
