  1. Actually, based on experience, I would advocate AGAINST Barron's.

    Kaplan is a better study guide overall. Barron's make you prepare for material that doesn't even end up on the actual exam. The practice exams in the Barron's book are very loosely structured on the actual exam. A lot of the questions on Barron's study guides are ridiculously worded and arcane and would probably never appear on the actual SAT II exams.

    Whichever SAT II you are planning to take, Math, Biology E/M, Literature, anything, I would say go for either Kaplan or Princeton Review. Both are great guides with accurate and likely estimates of what the real test is going to be like.
