I'm a Filipino student taking up my bachelor's degree, And i'm looking myself to migrate in the U.K or Canada, as long as i graduate two years from now... I'm doing a month research until now, of which is better to live? Canada or the U.K.? I even asked my friends to recommend one... some says, in the U.K because pound sterling is 90 times higher than philippine peso, the rest reiterated canada, closer to the U.S., developed nation, and cheaper.

Any british and canadian who can enlighten my thoughts?

PLEASE CONSIDER EVERYTHING, and as much as possible site a thoughts... TO BE MORE precise, I specifically choose TORONTO AND LONDON for both countries,

i'm an I.T. student, who likes computers and games, i love writing articles and essay, my lifestyle is quite normal. though sometimes tend to be luxurious. i want a high salary which i can earn...

please indicate also the taxes etc, which can help me a lot in deciding... merci beaucoup.!

i'm confused, really really,really... pls help

  1. UK has now started giving 2 years work permits to international students after they finish their degrees so thats a good news after you pay their universities thousands of Pounds.

And the Pound Sterling is lucrative only when you spend it out of UK. Here its just a common currency which is not worth a lot.

But what I think you need to do is some research on which country (UK or Canada) can give you a job in your chosen field (as an immigrant)

    Hope that helps!

  2. Well, I have lived in both places and Canada is the country I chose.

It has a better standard of living, things are not as expensive here, the population density is less (England has 976 people per square mile, Canada has 9 people per square mile) so there are more wide open spaces to enjoy.

Here in Southern Ontario we enjoy long, hot summers, beautiful Autumns, and cold, crisp winters - we cross-country ski and snowmobile fright from our back door!

I travel to England about once a year or so, it is a great place to visit with a lot of history, but where I come from in the North, I find the weather damp and dismal, the people are rude (even children), road rage is rampant, the level of violence is awful and people don't seem worried about it - I guess they are used to it now.

Finally, the choice is yours, good luck wherever you decide to go..

There are tens of thousands of people from England who are applying to emigrate to Canada every years, that should tell you something!

  3. UK... the pound is amazing and blame canada

  4. UK

the income there is very high

but don't live in london, its the most expensive city in the world to date

  5. it depends on your likes/dislikes. if you like crowded cities/sheep and hate france, i'd go UK. If you like france and dont fancy sheep, canada would be the better choice
