  1. There are really different, Carbon fiber is light, and aluminum is stong. Each one is better in a different field so its all your opinion. If your not falling on it much, get carbon, if not aluminum will work fine


  2. Carbon fiber for bars and stem is absolutely stupid.

  3. It's unlikely you'll feel much difference if you're comparing quality components. Most pros use aluminum stems and handlebars now since they're more prone to crashing. If you land on carbon bars they could be damaged and not show it until they fail catastrophically. Aluminum will just bend if it's badly damaged. There is not much difference in lightness either. When it comes down to it, carbon works great and is plenty reliable, assuming you don't crash it.
