Which is better dreamweaver or frontpage?

Depends. For simple, rapid launch of an uncomplicated website... FrontPage ... IF you're willing to live with the built-in themes.

If you're planning a career in web design, even if just as a consultant. Or if your site will ever have dynamic content, web applications, or use cascading style sheets (CSS). Or if you'd rather not have other web designers looking at you with disdain... then go with Dreamweaver.

But don't take my word for it... look for web design jobs out there, on Monster or CraigsList or ComputerJobs. See how many of them require Dreamweaver vs. FrontPage. I haven't found a web design firm yet that isn't using Dreamweaver (and I'm a web applications developer that works with design firms).
