Which is better eigther regular course or self supporting course ?

You have to be referring to public and private. There are some " regular " courses which compare  favorably  with the private courses and in some cases, better than the private course. Then there are those" regulars " who have great amounts of play and the government uses the golf income to support various and sundry activities denying the source  monies to improve or maintain the facility which is laying the golden eggs. So you have to be more specific with less generalization to receive a sensible answer.

Not sure exactly what you mean by "regular" or "self-supporting".  I am guessing you mean public or private course.  Usually the private course is better because it doesn't get as much play, and the members are willing to spend more to maintain it etc.
