Most people will say biochem. But this isn't necessarily true.

If you can get through college with the same GPA in biochem as you could with biology, then biochem is better.

However, if you find chemistry difficult, then don't take biochem; sacrificing your GPA isn't necessarily worth the added flair of 'Biochemistry' on your diploma.

So, it depends on you and what you're into, and whether or not you find chemistry easy/tolerable.

Double major.  there are only a few extra classes.  Many of the classes the same.

Physics majors will double major in Astronomy or math.

Biochem is definitely more specific and thus better for certain types of careers. However, I would say it depends on what your future goals are. Med school, vet school, research, pharmacology, education; each of those have majors that better suit them. If you are undecided, I would go with plain Biology so that you can get a little taste of everything and then change majors before you get to your upper division classes. :)
