  1. Studying Abroad is better...

  2. Definitely a homestay.  I have study abroad in both Spain and Costa Rica.  I chose homestay for both.  I think it is better especially if you want to learn the language and culture.  It is also helpful because if you have a question or need help with anything you can ask your host family and they can help you because they know their country better than you do.  You get to form a great friendship with them that you can continue even after you leave.  They also prepare the meals for you and do laundry and do the cleaning for you(at least mine did) where as if you stay in a hotel...you won't receive any of these benefits.  You will still have the same freedoms like coming and going as you please.  When you are in a different country it is good to have a stress free life and living in a homestay helps relieve the stresses that you may feel if you were staying in a hotel.

  3. Definitely home stay. If you are studying abroad for a foreign language, you need to use what you have learned in class.

A hotel kinda cuts you off from society, and limiting yout oppurtunities.

  4. definitely homestay

that way you get to learn about the culture and see how people in foreign countries really live and what life is truely like for them.

hotels good if your a natural loner but if you like the company of people stay with a family

  5. If you are sure about yourself and knw to respect your body (don't go wild with s*x, drugs or drinking) then the hostel situation is really good.

You will make friends wherever you go.  Think about doing an internship...

  6. I was just visting my sister who is studying abroad in france. We stayed in hotels but she does homestay. I can tell you right now, after staying one night with the host family that I would have wanted to do that the rest of the trip over any hotel. If you are fortunate enough to get a great host family like my sister did, they are very fun, very welcoming and they even paid for her to go to a couple of places such as Rome and the Czech. They were very sociable and I wish I could have stayed longer with her. I 100% encourage you to do homestay.

  7. i've done both, both in korea

i've stayed at a hotel in Seoul and did a homestay in Incheon.  i liked the homestay better because i had someone to help me with things.
