Which is better for XBOX 360?

I do not have online capability on my XBOX 360. I am having a few frieds over this weekend and we want to play a good FPS that we can play at the same time on my TV. I don't want to play a two player campaign- we want to duke it out like 007 on SNES. What game should I get for this, Gears of War or Call of Duty 4? Or I'm open to suggestions.
