Okay, well I have heard 2 things. First Ive heard that if you charge your psp frequently even though the light isn't blinking and it has a high charge, you can damage the battery/its life span. On the other hand, I heard that letting the battery drain all the way then charging it will damage it.

So basically, I want to know which is better for your battery and why.

A. Letting the battery drain all the way or until a little bit of juice is left, then charge?

OR

B. Not letting the battery charge get too low and charge frequently?

Thatnks

  1. Chris is right.  Check the link below.

  2. go to http://www.dark-psp.darkbb.com brand new possibly the best psp website in about 1 week sign in and get alot of stuff.

  3. If you let your battery run low, and then charge it, it should prevent battery memory, which is the battery only charging to a certain point, not to its full potential. So I would advise letting your psp run to low battery before charging.

  4. It's a lithium-ion battery, you would want to keep the molecules running at all times.

Never drain it, make sure it's being used often, and charged often... to it's fullest, charge it when it's at half battery life to make sure it lasts a long time.

I wouldn't worry too much though, you can buy batteries for them at a decent price.

and Ion batteries don't have a memory like the old batteries in R/C cars and stuff (thats why they say charge all the way the first time) running the PSP too low will actually cause it too lose battery strength faster because it runs on ION molecules which if they lose all energy they die faster...

so keep them somewhat charged, and charge often.
