  1. Those who have good results with vegetable gardening tend to lay the praise on that particular soil enrichment /conditioner,with years of experience i believe one can be as good as another, provided it is well rotted down to a non smelly ,powdery /crumbly material.

Go for what is readily available,no need to make heroic efforts to get a certain type that you think is good for vegetables, with time you will be convinced of this fact.I have had just as good results from home composted garden/kitchen waste with added organic farm inputs as with cow or other animal manure.

    I

  2. Bar none the best is sheep manure or what my great grand pappy would call sheep sh_t.

  3. My son-in-law swears by horse manure.  He says it's better than cow manure.

Since it's free and he tills it in, I won't disagree  :o)

  4. My neighbor has always used horse pucky with great success. I am trying it for the first time this year, so far with good results.we started our compost last year so it wasn't "too hot".It was nice and broken down and dark brown when we tilled it in.

  5. Both are fine but you need to make sure that they have gotten hot enought to kill the weeds.

  6. Without any doubt, alpaca. With an additional bonus, alpaca droppings can be used straight out of the animal.

Cow manure are much worse for the soil today, than it used to be, because of what they feed cows today.

  7. cow.
