Which is better for checking a pool, test strips or the drops?

The test strips are telling me my total chlorine is good, but the drops were saying I was no where near. I even went out and purchased new drops, and it made no difference. I have a saltwater pool, if it makes any difference.

we found the strips did us good.....once we went to them we stopped having trouble keeping ours level...

I think the drops are the old standard.
