Which is better for increasing my stamina?

Running faster each day or running farther each day? I dont really have a goal other than having a lot of stamina. lets say i did a mile today in 6:30, is it better to go for 6:20 tomorrow or run at that pace for more than a mile?

  1. it is better to run longer not faster if you are trying to increase your stamina/ endurance


  2. You have to run both. Training isnt easy, it requires dedication disciple and smarts. You can work out hard and not get better if you do the wrong thing. but to oversimply for you, run more mileage, then you can lower the pace on the mileage

  3. how about both?? i mean 6 min miles are awesome imagine doing that non-stop for 5, 6, 7miles... even 26.2 miles(marathon) now thats stamina for you.

  4. longer for stanima and endurance, faster for speed
