I am 14 1/2 years old, 165lb.s, 5' 11'' . I have experience riding dirt bikes. I have a honda crf100f and i started on a honda 70, but now I am too big for a 85( 2 stroke), 150, or 230... and i want a 250 anyways.... I don't know if i should get a Honda crf250x, crf250r, or a ktm 250...... I want a 4-stroke though....... I mostly ride off road/ trail ride and i plan on starting to ride tracks but i will still mostley trail ride. I also want a bike that will last a long time with little maintanence. Which of these bikes would be best for me?

  1. Well KTM are good bikes but its hard to get parts for them sometimes unless you got a shop close to you and the parts are expensive too, but if you got the money KTM but also if you plan on to start rideing on the track your gona want a 2-stroke they got way better power in the top end and your gona want it ont he track to just unleash it i ride on the track and tried a 4-stroke witht he same power as my RM 250 and it didn't even compare

  2. i would go with ktm 250 four stroke its a nice bike

  3. If you want minimal maintenance @ minimal cost, please consider a 2-stroke.  The KTM 200 XC would fit your needs quite well and is lighter and more capable than the CRF 250X.  They're also quieter than the 4-strokes.  I ride a KTM 300, and besides being faster than the 450's, my maintenance costs and time expenditures are much lower.  BTW, parts are not hard to find.  Head over to ktmtalk.com and get plugged in.  I order just about everything off of the internet which saves even more time and money.
