I'm going to start selling my own T shirts

but i have 2 different ways of getting them made

Option 1:

I found a great deal of plain T-shirts in a variety of colors for $1.50 a piece

and then i can buy transfer paper and transfer it on myself

Pros: Its way way cheaper,i get to really personalize how i want the shirt

Cons: More Work, possibility of the transfers to come off in the wash, and more possibility for mistakes

Option 2:

Go to website design my shirt there and buy it straight from the website

Pros:Less work,more reliable

Cons:Way more expensive, more likely a chance that i wont like the shirt, less people may buy because the shirt will almost twice as expensive

Those are my options

Which one do you think is better?

  1. no one likes it when there t shirts start to fade or crack but its normal

i think most people would rather buy cheaper personalized ones especially with everyones money issues right now.

  2. Option 3:

Take the plain shirts and your designs to a shirt screener (which are popping up in malls all over the place), work out a quantity deal, and if you don't like the quality of the product you can refuse to accept it.

  3. I stayed away from Silk Screening and went with Embroidery. Much higher quality product, cost is less than silk screener was.

If you want repeat business don't skimp, go embroidery.

see example on hats and aprons

It will not come off in the machine.
