Which is better for usa or norway+holland? with reasoning..?

i mean by Norway and Holland countries that try to improve it's internal affairs ,social security ,living standard ,fight poverty,and has a good economics system but low influence against other countries or like USA to become a great power and big influence against other and go for wars just to improve it's foreign reputation which is of course good for them but on the cost of it's internal security i mean the have crimes and poverty

Quality of life versus military prowess---I'll take the first one.  Sometime you need the second to have the first, but not as often as we think.

Americans cringe by the word socialism thinking its a factory in 1930's Soviet Union and cant comprehend that its possible to mix socialism and capitalism as in scandinavia while prospering and have some of the most competitive economies in the world and some fo the highest incomes per capita etc.

Socialism and a sense of collectivism is not for America and wasnt build on it either. Completel freedom and decide your own destiny if you fail... too bad.
