Which is better in your opinion, plastation 3 or Xbox 360?

i have both consoles and i'm a pretty hardcore gamer.

i personally love the 360!

it has a great online system and even though you pay for it (£40 a year is nothing) it is well worth it as it runs a lot better then playstation online!

the xbox gamerscore and achievment system gives games longer life spans and the xbox controller is so much better for games like call of duty 4. (which i have for both platforms)

the good thing about the playstation 3 is that it plays bluray discs and therefore i can watch hd movies on my 42inch 1080p tv! but thats about it.... i can't see any difference in graphics and alot of the games were originally released only in 720p...... where as xbox had them in 1080.....

as a games console, in my opinion, the 360 wins hands down!!!!!! there are better game titles coming out for it all the time!

which is your favourite and why?

PS3 because:

* Plays Blu-rays

* Online play is free

* Better games

* No Red Ring of Death

* Doesn't overheat easily

i think there pretty identical they both have good picture and almost every game made on xbox 360 is on ps3 and vice verse i would say if your looking for war and fighting games then ps3 or x box360 (xbox360 is cheaper)      but if your looking for fun family games the wii

A year ago I would have agreed with you 100% but now that PS3 is finally hitting its stride I'm not so sure anymore. But one thing's certain. It's a good time to be a gamer because there are some truly incredible games coming out. Things are evening out on both sides.

The PS3 kicks ***, did you know that 33% of xbox 360 consoles get that red ring of death, and xbox 360's don't actually play 1080p native it's only an upscale there will never be a 360 game that was designed in 1080p the xbox doesn't have enough power, also the bluray player and the DVD upscale on the playstation 3 also makes the PS3 better value. And what about the PS3 processor it leaves the xbox one for dead,
